North Sea
The North Sea is an arm of the North Atlantic separating the
British Isles from Norway. The shallow sea borders on the
Shetland Islands in the northwest, the United Kingdom and the Orkney Islands to the west, Norway to the
northeast, Denmark to the east, and France, Belgium, the Netherlands, and
Germany to the south. It is fed by waters from the Thames, Rhine, and Elbe Rivers.
